Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "Terms and Conditions") carefully before enrolling in any certification course offered by Draco Staff Development, LLC, doing business as Draco Learning ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By completing a course enrollment and payment, you ("Student," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in any American Heart Association (AHA) certification course offered through Draco Learning, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not enroll in or attend any of our courses.

2. Course Enrollment and Payment

2.1 Enrollment Requirements

All students must provide accurate and complete information during the enrollment process, including legal name, contact information, and any prerequisite documentation as required for specific courses.

2.2 Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of enrollment to secure your seat in the course. Payment may be made via credit card, debit card, or other payment methods accepted through our online payment processor. Enrollment is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

3.1 All Sales Are Final

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. Once payment has been processed and enrollment is confirmed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: failure to attend the scheduled class, withdrawal from the course, inability to complete the course requirements, or failure to pass the certification examination.

3.2 Course Rescheduling

Students who are unable to attend their scheduled class date may request to transfer their enrollment to a future class date, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of Draco Learning. Transfer requests must be made in writing at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. A maximum of one (1) transfer per enrollment is permitted. Failure to attend the rescheduled class will result in forfeiture of the enrollment fee.

3.3 No-Show Policy

Students who fail to attend their scheduled class without prior notification ("No-Show") will forfeit their entire enrollment fee. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for No-Show students.

3.4 Company Cancellation

In the event that Draco Learning cancels a scheduled class due to instructor unavailability, insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, enrolled students will be offered the option to transfer to an alternative class date at no additional charge or receive a full refund of the enrollment fee.

4. Certification Information

4.1 Certification Validity Period

All American Heart Association (AHA) certifications are valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of issuance. Upon expiration, individuals must complete a renewal course to maintain active certification status. It is the sole responsibility of the certificate holder to track expiration dates and enroll in renewal courses prior to certification expiration.

4.2 Certification Requirements

To receive an AHA certification, students must:

  • Attend the full duration of the scheduled course
  • Actively participate in all skills practice sessions
  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills assessments
  • Achieve a passing score on the written examination (if applicable)

Failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in non-issuance of certification. No refunds will be provided for failure to complete certification requirements.

4.3 eCard and Physical Card

Upon successful course completion, students will receive an AHA eCard (electronic certification card) via email within 5-7 business days. Physical certification cards, if available, may be ordered directly through the American Heart Association for an additional fee.

5. Student Responsibilities

5.1 Attendance and Punctuality

Students are required to arrive on time for their scheduled class. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the course at the discretion of the instructor. Students arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time will be considered a No-Show.

5.2 Identification

Students must present a valid government-issued photo identification (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID) at check-in. Students without proper identification may be denied entry to the course.

5.3 Physical Requirements

AHA certification courses require physical activity, including kneeling, bending, and performing chest compressions on training manikins. Students should be physically capable of performing these activities. Students with physical limitations should contact us prior to enrollment to discuss accommodations.

5.4 Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner throughout the course. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or failure to follow instructor directions may result in immediate dismissal from the course without refund.
