Picking Up Available Shifts
You can pick up available shifts that match your position/license. Follow these steps:
Step 1: View Available Shifts
- Click the "View Available Shifts" button on your dashboard
- You'll see a table showing all open shifts you're qualified to work
- Only shifts matching your position will appear (RNs see RN/LVN shifts, CNAs see CNA shifts, etc.)
Step 2: Select a Shift
Review the available shifts information:
- Date: The shift date
- Shift Type: AM (Morning), PM (Afternoon), or NOC (Overnight)
- Position: Required position type
- Start/End Times: Exact shift hours
Step 3: Request the Shift
- Click the "Pick Up" button next to the shift you want
- Confirm your request in the popup dialog
- You'll see a success message
Step 4: Wait for Approval
- Your request will be sent to the scheduler for approval
- The shift will appear on your calendar as "Pending" (grayed out)
- You'll receive an email notification when approved or declined
- Approved shifts will turn blue and show a checkmark
Position Eligibility
You can only pick up shifts you're qualified for based on your license:
- RN: Can pick up RN and LVN shifts
- LVN: Can only pick up LVN shifts
- RNA: Can pick up RNA and CNA shifts
- CNA: Can only pick up CNA shifts
- Caregiver: Can only pick up Caregiver shifts
💡 Tip: Pick up shifts early! Popular shifts get claimed quickly.
