Reporting When You Can't Work a Shift

If you can't make it to a scheduled shift, you must report a callout as soon as possible.

When to Report a Callout

  • As soon as you know you can't make your shift
  • Even if it's the day of the shift
  • Even if you've already told someone verbally

How to Report

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Find the shift on your calendar
  3. Click the shift to open details
  4. Click the "Report Callout" button
  5. Enter the reason for your absence (required)
  6. Click "Submit Callout"

What Happens Next

  • Your supervisor will be notified immediately
  • The shift will be marked as a callout in the system
  • You'll receive a confirmation
  • The scheduler can then arrange coverage

Callout Reasons

Common acceptable reasons include:

  • Illness
  • Family emergency
  • Transportation issues
  • Weather conditions
  • Other unforeseen circumstances
⚠️ Important: Excessive callouts may affect your standing. Always call out through the system AND contact your supervisor directly.

Alternative: Direct Phone Call

In addition to reporting through the system, you should also:

  • Call your supervisor or facility directly
  • Speak to a manager if possible
  • Follow your facility's callout policy
