Reporting When You Can't Work a Shift
If you can't make it to a scheduled shift, you must report a callout as soon as possible.
When to Report a Callout
- As soon as you know you can't make your shift
- Even if it's the day of the shift
- Even if you've already told someone verbally
How to Report
- Go to your dashboard
- Find the shift on your calendar
- Click the shift to open details
- Click the "Report Callout" button
- Enter the reason for your absence (required)
- Click "Submit Callout"
What Happens Next
- Your supervisor will be notified immediately
- The shift will be marked as a callout in the system
- You'll receive a confirmation
- The scheduler can then arrange coverage
Callout Reasons
Common acceptable reasons include:
- Illness
- Family emergency
- Transportation issues
- Weather conditions
- Other unforeseen circumstances
⚠️ Important: Excessive callouts may affect your standing. Always call out through the system AND contact your supervisor directly.
Alternative: Direct Phone Call
In addition to reporting through the system, you should also:
- Call your supervisor or facility directly
- Speak to a manager if possible
- Follow your facility's callout policy
