Position-Based Shift Eligibility
You can only work shifts that match your position and license type. This ensures proper staffing and legal compliance.
Position Hierarchy
Registered Nurse (RN)
Can pick up:
- ✅ RN shifts
- ✅ LVN shifts (RNs can cover LVN work)
Cannot pick up:
- ❌ CNA, RNA, or Caregiver shifts
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Can pick up:
- ✅ LVN shifts only
Cannot pick up:
- ❌ RN shifts (under-qualified)
- ❌ CNA, RNA, or Caregiver shifts (different scope)
Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA)
Can pick up:
- ✅ RNA shifts
- ✅ CNA shifts (RNA certification includes CNA skills)
Cannot pick up:
- ❌ RN or LVN shifts
- ❌ Caregiver shifts
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Can pick up:
- ✅ CNA shifts only
Cannot pick up:
- ❌ All other shift types
Caregiver
Can pick up:
- ✅ Caregiver shifts only
Cannot pick up:
- ❌ Any nursing-licensed positions

Updating Your Position
If you've obtained a new license or certification:
- Go to your Profile page
- Update your Position/License Type
- Save changes
- Contact your supervisor to verify the change
